INTRODUCTION:
Anger management classes attract a diverse range of participants. Many individuals attend these programs because an authority figure has mandated their participation. This requirement can come from a judge, a probation officer, an employer, a school official, or even a spouse or parent. In these cases, attendance is not voluntary, but rather a response to a directive resulting from personal or professional circumstances.
Voluntary Participants. While most attendees can be required to participate, some individuals seek out anger management on their own. These people decide to enroll in the classes because they are tired of the negative consequences their anger has caused in their lives. Their motivation stems from a desire for personal improvement and addressing issues caused by uncontrolled outrage, rather than external pressure.
